I just posted something last night in response to another Knotties question about this shop. I've had a horrible experience with them, and it's not over yet. I still need the alterations (that I've already paid for, of course) finished. But NOTHING can top what I saw there today.
I walked in for fitting 2.5 (since fitting 2 involved my dress not being there and them not calling me OR telling me when I called before my appt OR telling me while I sat there waiting for an hour....) There was a girl sitting in the front of the shop talking on her phone. I overheard a small portion of her story and it was every girl's worst nightmare. Her wedding is TOMORROW. And her dress is not finished. She had been at the store since they opened this morning, so that's over 8 hours at this point, and she was NOT leaving without that dress. Of course she has a hundred errands to run because did I mention her wedding is TOMORROW?! But she wouldn't leave because she was afraid they would lock the door and not let her in and then tomorrow she wouldn't have a dress to wear on the biggest day of her life. It might sound irrational, but after my experience I completely understand and would do the same thing. She was being SOOOOO nice about the situation, too. She was understanding of whose fault it was, but still aware that the people who could resolve the issue were not helping in any way and were not doing anything to accommodate her.
I feel horrible for the poor girl and will be saying a prayer tonight that she gets her dress and tomorrow surpasses her every expectation.
So please, save yourself the trouble. You have a hundred stores in town to choose from, but you only get one shot at this being a great experience. Here Comes The Bride has robbed me of that great experience, and I'm clearly not alone...
