Silverware/Flatware & Linen Rentals--Help & Advice Wanted!!! (Catering co. doesn't provide)

Hi everyone! Ok, so our issue is--if we go with a caterer who has awesome food, our problem is, they don't have any rentals.  I didn't know so much was involved in this whole wedding thing and, well, my fiance, my coordinator and I now need to find a great yet affordable place where we can rent all of these necessities.  Are there any places that any of you knotties recommend?   Or anyone that's even just going through the same issue that can give me the pros and cons they're currently experiencing before we make our final decision on if we're going to go w/ a full service catering place who provides all of these rentals VS. a caterer who doesn’t but who has absolutely delicious food???    Thanks and congratulations everyone!!!
Happily Married Mrs. d & hopefully soon-to-be Mommy! =)

How many people are attending your wedding? If it is under 45 people I am happy to help! My name is Lauren and I have a wedding/party company that caters for intimate groups. I include all the silverware, flatware, linens and glassware within my price per person cost. Please visit my website www.gracefulgathering.com to see all the services I offer!!

    Best,

    Lauren

I don't think it's worth the headache to use a catering company just for their food, and then have to deal with a separate company for all the utensils and linens.  What a logistical nightmare.

There are LOTS of catering companies that serve really good food.  I'd look for one that has it all included.  Unless you have a wedding coordinator that is going to deal with all of this for you.  I just don't think it's worth it.

Where are you getting married?  If it's San Diego, there are quite a few great all inclusive catering companies.

I've heard wonderful things about the following:

    Personal Touch Catering

    Guiseppe's Catering

    Continental Catering

You said you have a coordinator?  They should have the contacts to help you figure it out.

Hey Knotties!  Thanks for your replies!  and sorry i didn't reply sooner--i didn't even know i had replies on this or my other board posts as theknot used to send me notification emails when i'd get replies, but I guess it hasn't been doing that lately.  oh great, now i hear that as we're about to solidify booking our caterer who is separate from the rental companies.  fortunately, i DO have a coordinator to help with all of this and the rental companies we have found and are suggesting have worked with our tentative caterer.  i think we're gonna take the plunge and do it.  and, it's probably one of those, "grass is greener on the other side" things, b/c I just ran into another board post where the bride was debating on using a full service caterer as she was scared to "put all of her eggs in one basket."  but yeah, i totally agree with you--but we're this far into our decision and absolutely LOVE our possible caterer's food so guess we'll be crossing our fingers in the hopes that everything will work itself out for our big day!  But, thanks for your help!!!

And, sorry Lauren, but no, we have between 250-300 guests.  But, thank you for offering your help, as well!

Hi! Yes your situation is jut like mine. I am only having 125 and so far the rentals for tables, linens, chairs, flatware, dinnerware have come to = $3200! I do want to point out that I am having chiavari chairs and very fine taffeta linen. But STILL it has come out to more than what i was hoping for. I used Concepts for charis and linens and Anar party rentals for the rest.
