Is this a fair price for DJ and lighting services??

It's so hard to tell if I'm getting a good price with various vendors, so I'm throwing this out into the community to see what others think.

I got an offer for DJ services for 6 hours (including ceremony and reception, set up, break down, wireless speakers), plus lighting at the venue (uplighting inside, uplighting on the trees outside) for about $3,300.  The guy has a good reputation.  Is this about what I should expect to pay?  Thank you in advance!!

I can only speak for myself but that seems a little high. My DJ is doing the same thing for less than $1000.

yup seems high im getting about the same for 1200

that seems steep, i would think you can get that for around 1k

I'm sure the additional uplighting is extra, but I would think the total should be closer to around $1200-$1500 total.

I went on Craigslist and wrote an add naming my price and what I expect and got over 70 replies, some good, so not, but we ended up hiring a reputable, licensed DJ for $600.00.

I agree with the other brides, that is high.  Our DJ offers the same package for around $1,000.  His name is Pat Connolly with Sound Prodigy if you want to check him out.

Wow that seems high to me too.
 Just started looking into DJ's and one offered me 5 hours of a DJ and a separate MC, 9 uplights, custom gobo, and a spotlight for the cake for 1K.

Another, offered basic DJ services for about 750.
