I got married May 2009. Here are our comments about our vendors.
CATERING-El Indio
Fabulous and cheap. They did a great job.
LIGHTING/FURNITURE RENTAL- Raphaels Party Rental
Prior to the wedding they were great and worked well. However on the day of they were hours late! Had promised to move the chairs from the ceremony site to the reception site and did not. Lighting was NOT done well and we paid a lot for that. They were 48 hours late taking back the rentals. We got charged a late fee from the venue and it took 4 times of persistant calling and writing to get that fee given back. NOT RECOMMENDED
RECEPTION- Soledad Club
A decent space with nice view. Affordable compared to other reception sites. Flexible. However they make you shut down early so if its late you are looking for not the one. Views of fireworks.
CEREMONY- Kate Sessions Park
Great view. DO NOT BOOK THIS ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND. My husband almost got in a fight with a guy why had scoped out his spot for his party. However we had paid for a permit so after we called the police we were able to get the spot because we had this. However this outside, afforable and across the street from the Soledad Club.
OFFICIENT- Deborah Davis
Fabuous! She was always positive and put a nervous bride at ease. Super flexible with the ceremony and great for interfaith marriages.
CAKE- Albertsons
Not exactly wha I wanted but cheaper than most cake places.
MUSIC-San Diego Super Samba School
AMAZING. Best idea we had. They performed with Samba dancers before the ceremony went on. They had fun too. Great costumes, matched with everyone.
