Need San Diego photo help.

Hey Knotties,
I need your expertise. I’m looking for the best place to take photos in the San Diego area. This can be wedding or engagement photos. Also, tell me why. Does the place have great lighting? Filled with nature? Modern buildings? What makes it unique to where you live and why would someone want to take wedding-related photos there? I’ll be using your Knot name, btw.
Thanks in advance!

Balboa Park is amazing for both e-pics and weddings.  There are a bunch of different museums that have Spanish style architecture and different hallways and arches that create great lighting.  There are also several different gardens with ponds, a few different fountains, mazes made out of bushes and one of the most amazing trees I have ever seen.  It's right in the heart of San Diego and on any given day you will see people enjoying the museums, running the trails, walking their dogs and kids playing.

We did our e-pics there.  Here are some of my favorite shots.

    Hope that helps!

We went to La Jolla shores...  breathtaking scenery, palm trees, cliffs, and the beach (sometimes with surfers who are willing to be part of your memories).

    The beach = Southern California

I think I'm going to go with Balboa Park as well.  Sea port village is also a nice spot  but rumor has it you're not allowed to have professional pics taken there.

Definitely La Jolla Cove, you could not pick a spot that is more breath-taking.  I also agree with La Jolla Shores and the Cliffs of Torrey Pines that look over the La Jolla Shores beach.

Baboa Park for sure! We did some of our engagement pics there and the light in late afternoon is beautiful because it reflects off the buildings and made my skin look like it glowed! My friend just had her wedding there and the photos were fantastic. We used the same wedding photographer - NarikosNest.com.  After Balboa park I was say Sunset Cliffs in OB. It's gorgeous there and you have the long pier to take pics on.

If you haven't already taken pictures, you might go to the University of San Diego. It's a beautiful campus and they have incredible picture spots. Behind the Institute for Peace and Justice building is absolutely beautiful, though there are dozens and dozens of picture spots throughout the campus.
