San Diego Beach Venues

Help! I am newly engaged and I really want a beach wedding. Can anyone give me any ideas for affordable beach wedding venues?

    Congrats!

Here are a few places to check out.

On the water but your feet aren't IN the sand:
-The Wedding Bowl at Cuvier Park (ceremony only and small # of guests)
-The Powerhouse Del Mar (ceremony + reception)
-ZLAC Rowing Club on Mission Bay (C+R , can do on beach too)
-La Jolla Shores Hotel (Deck that overlooks ocean, C+R)

    Feet in the sand:
Coronado's South Beach (maybe the community center nearby for reception?)

If I think of any more I will update. :) If your wedding is super tiny, like elopement size, there are several more place I can suggest.

If you have a small wedding you can pretty much go anywhere on the coast. Some locations will require a permit depending on whether or not you need to bring in chairs, an arch etc. If you have guests stand, and more of an intimate wedding you don't need a permit and will just have to pay for you officiant, & photographer. The smaller your wedding and less details involved such as chairs etc, the more location options open up.

I'm not sure if you have access to military bases but the prices are really good!!! Mine is on Coronado and I'm paying about 3000 for wedding reception and food.

    How many guests?

    Reception there too?

Will you serve a full bar, beer & wine or is no alcohol okay?
