Leonesse, Wiens Family Cellars or Wilson Creek?

Hi, Knotties!
I'm just in the very first stages of planning our wedding and we're considering a winery wedding in Temecula.  Does anyone have, or know of anyone who has, experience with a wedding at Leonesse, Wiens, or Wilson Creek?  I'm leaning toward Leonesse, but only because I've never been to Wiens and Wilson Creek looks like it might be a little more on the pricey side.  Thoughts???

Thanks!

I have never had, or been to a wedding at any of these places-- but I have wine tasted at all of them!!!  Wilson Creek is by my favorite!  They are so friendly and accomodating.  They have an amazing venue and the best Almond Champagne in the world!  My fiance and I have been to each winery a few times and Wiens is definitely our least favorite as far as wine goes, but my fiance was just there and siad that they have remodeled and he would choose that one as far as best venue for a wedding.  So my suggestion is to check both of them out and see which one fits both style and budget.  Have fun!!

We were *this* close to having our wedding at Wein's so that gets my vote.  Wilson Creek is nice too, but I think it's a lot more expensive (I could be mistaken).

I have been to Wilson Creek quite a few times and I've always had a great time there. But I've never seen the other spots. Wilson makes a fantastic almond champagne. Let us know what you choose!

I'm guessing Ponte is out of the running?!  Wiens is nice, but they are pretty expensive. Also, I have heard they don't have the best wine or customer service. Of the three you mentioned I would go with Wilson Creek. They are known for their almond champagne, and it's wonderful! I have also heard good things about the food there. But they are fairly expensive too. Have you checked out Callaway, Faulkner or Longshadow Wineries?

I don't know if you are set on a "winery" wedding, but if not check out Lake Oak Meadows in Temecula. It is just past the wineries and it is a private venue, it is gorgeous! Had we not gotten married in January we would have gotten married there (they have no indoor location). Everything is included and they are really reasonably priced.  Good luck planning!

I think Leonesse has, by far, the most natural beauty.  If I could have afforded a winery wedding, it would have been Leonesse, no question.

A previous poster mentioned this, but I can confirm that Weins does not have the best wine or customer service. The wedding coordinator my best friend had when she had her wedding there kept changing and didn't get back to her in a timely fashion. They also refuse to shut down the lobby/barrel room when a wedding is in progress, so there are all these random people wandering through your wedding.

We visited all the wineries when we were looking for our location. We went with Lake Oak Meadows as someone mentioned previously. It's lovely because you don't have all the hussle and bussle of people visiting the winery, but its the same atmospheric setting. Our second choice would have been Ponte. Weins was off putting and their reception area felt like a stuffy perma-portable.

We decided to go with Wiens- they only host one event at a time and the start time is AFTER they close the tasting room, so you won't have any random people at your wedding.  I guess they changed that after your friends wedding, futureromance.  And their wine and champagne are fantastic, AND they have a great deal from October through April- your entire bar is free all night long.  Free wine, beer, champagne and soda all night long.  We just did our tasting dinner and the food was absolutely delicious.  I think they've changed some of their wedding procedures, including their coordinators.  We haven't had too much interaction with ours yet, but she's fantastic and very responsive.  Sorry your friend had such a bad experience there!
