First Dance Song?

What's your first dance song?
Are you and your FI doing any dance classes before the wedding?

Our first dane song is "Baby I Love Your Way" by UB40 and we are having our first dance lesson tomorrow night. I hope they can make a dance up for us that goes with our song!

    We are dancing to "Life After You" by Daughtry. No dance lessons for us...we are all about the Middle School Shuffle. haha

    We chose Beyonce's version of Etta James' "At Last" - we're wicked old and it's fitting :) And yes to dance lessons. FI actually REALLY wants to do some kind of ballroom dance. Oh Lord...

    Steady as We go by Dave Matthews Band.

    No lessons and I'm pretty sure this will be the only time I can get FI to dance with me in public. :-)

    arunkumar - LOVE that song.

    What I want to dance to and what fiance wants to dance to are two different things. I really love this song by Bright Eyes "First Day of my Life" -- (click on that - Seriously, watch it; you'll cry) but fiance is more traditional.

    We'll probably end up with Elvis, "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" or something like that. 

    I also love Ben Harper's "Forever" but again, not traditional. :)

    Oh and no dance lessons. Not on the agenda.

    Our first dance song will probably be "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. (Think of Ghost with Demi and Patrick)

    When we got engaged we were all about doing dance lessons, but I don't think we will be doing them since netiher of us has looked into it. We will be practicing our dance in the privacy of our own home though! Plus we have two weddings to attend before our own so I plan on making sure we dance the slow songs for extra practice haha.

    We are dancing to good luck charm by jagged edge. It's a little untraditional but the song means a lot to fi and I. No dances lessons.

    ugh. we have no idea. can't decide if we want to be traditional or not. but fiance does want to do dance lessons - we probably just won't do them until closer to the wedding because otherwise we would forget everything we know.

    We are dancing to Jason Mraz "I wont give up".  I really want to do dance lessons and there is a living social deal where I live for dance lessons right now but FI doesnt really want to and his schedule is so busy I dont know if we could actually find time to do it.  One of the places here will let you have one free private lesson and i am hoping I can at least get him to do that and maybe we can learn something simple to practice at home!  Neither one of us really loves to dance in public so I am super nervous that we will look ridiculous!  We are having "I believe in a thing called love" by the darkness played to announce our arrival at the reception...one of the only things FI has asked for.

    "History in the Making" by Darius Rucker. Undecided on dance lessons. A local bridal shop by me is hosting a one night dance lesson for couples, I think we might do that just to get an idea. Nothing choreographed though.

    "My Aunt is an amazing singer/song writer.  We asked her to sing our first dance song and we let her choose it.  So our first dance will be "The rose"  Bette Middler ususally sings it

    I hadn't heard this song yet and I love Jason Mraz so I had to look it up. Totally made me cry. I think we might use this one now. As for dance lessons I don't think we'll be taking any, but my FI said that he wanted to, but I don't think it's in the budget.

    What's your first dance song? Joshua Radin - Only You. Our friend is going to play it acoustic on his guitar and sing. He's amazing.

    Are you and your FI doing any dance classes before the wedding? Yes, we actually had our first dance lesson last night! I was a little skeptical at first but it was suprisingly fun. We're doing two private dance lessons and then one group lesson. FI has two left feet and pretty much insisted we take lessons (:

    Me too! I cried when I first found it online. I love the Elvis version but didn't want lyrics.

    We're dancing to Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk. We've have 4 lessons and have 8 more to go!

    We're doing Keeper of the Stars by Trace Byrd (we're both big country fans and I love the lyrics). I've been looking for a strings song to walk down the aisle to... I'm not a wedding march type. The can't help falling in love is a genius idea!

    We are currently doing a four week dance lesson session with a group of friends and then we'll do 4 weeks of private lessons afterwards. (we need all the help we can get and we really enjoy dance classes)

    As for first dance song, we're still up in the air.  Right now we are looking at "Danny's Song" by Kenny Loggins, "Precious Love" by Van Morrison or perhaps something by Ray LaMontange or David Gray.  Ahhh, I don't know and we need to figure it out soon!
