Shower Dresses

So, my shower just got scheduled, yippee!! it is the second week of May. the Saturday right before Mother's Day, since lots of my cousins will be in town visiting their moms and will hopefully all be able to come

This got me realizing I need to find my dress!! And, so many people have been talking about shower dresses lately!

PIP your shower dress below and tell us where you found it!! I need to start shopping!  

I am torn on whether I want to be cheesy and wear ivory (because I love ivory and it usually isn't appropriate in real life scenarios) or whether I want to wear purple (our wedding color) since it is my favorite and ties in to my cousin's theme for my bridal shower.  There are two REALLY cute ivory dresses that Ann Taylor just came out with that I LOVE (even though Ann Taylor is usually too frumpy for me, these are adorable!)

So I'm having the same debate as you (to wear white, or to not!) and I'm still undecided.

Originally, I was going to wear a BHLDN dress I got in the fall that I already wore to a wedding since, but it's a nice sea foam color that I think would be really nice for a bridal shower. But then last weekend, I fell for this dress at Nordstrom: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/seamline-cynthia-steffe-roxy-dress/3246537?origin=category&resultback=3581. I bought it, and now have to decide if I should use it for me shower, or maybe for the day-after brunch. I already have a RD dress, so that's out.

I like the AT dress you posted, it's very classy but not frumpy!

This is mine. ( clicky ) I didn't want white (I'm not even wearing white at the wedding) and I wanted something I'd wear again. Its not even my wedding colors. But I figured no one will care and I love this dress!

Bmore, I love that dress, too! We all have similar taste. How does it fit? I almost bought it but I was worried it wouldn't fit correctly since I'm not familiar with the designer.

Bmore i LOVE that dress and I love that designer too - I actually have one of her cute floral print party dresses that I am wearing to a wedding on Saturday!!

Bridetobe your shower dress is SO CUTE. Just reminded me to check out Lilly for shower dresses. 

SO MANY CHOICES!!! I am definitely still undecided on purples vs. ivories for the shower, though!

In my family, it's not really typical to dress up for the shower - but I might get something that I can also wear out to dinner or something on the honeymoon. I think my family would be shocked if I showed up to the shower in a dress but who knows. I'm being persuaded by posting here.

I'm really digging a lot of dresses the JCP has in right now. (As well as their everyday low price thing they got going on)

I love everyone's dresses!  Where I live its not typical to dress up for a shower but I am thinking about getting this dress for our reheasal since its going to be pretty casual and laid back and I love the dress and its a good excuse to buy it!
