Place Cards vs Seating Board

I am really debating whether I want to make individual place cards for my guests are they arrive to know where they are sitting at the reception (FYI right now guest list is 350); OR if I want to just make 1 or 2 big boards with everyone listed alphabetically to show where they sit.......Thoughts? Ideas?

I'm doing cards, but we should have around 175 guests...if I were you, I would probably go with the boards just because you have so many guests.

We did the board, allocated that lil bit of work to my Mother in law who took one of our invitations with her so they (the printer) added that in somehow...really pretty, very easy to use, absolutly no stress on my part whatsoever.  It was lovely :)

I wouldn't make 350 place cards. It would take up tons of space on a table and too long for everyone to find their cards. I would do 2 seating charts and place one on each side of the entrance so people don't have to stand in line to look at it.

Thanks everyone! I think I am definately going to do a board, the thought of making that many place cards and everyone waiting in line to find theres just doesn't sit well with me. Now here's my new question....any ideas where to get those boards made?!?

I just got married ,and my mom's friend did my seating chart, she is really into scrapbooking and everything.  We supplied her with a framed cork board, and puple satin and she wrapped the satin around the cork, then handmade all the cards to go on the chart...I can get you her information if you'd like! She's awesome, and EVERYONE has commented on how amazing the chart looked!
