Non traditional ceremony music????

Ok so , we are getting married outdoors in a gazebo (weather permitting) on April 9 2011, Reception will follow immediatly after indoors.  The setting is very country/rustic! I plan for a very intimate feel, lots of candles etc. For the ceremony, neither of us are very religious and we plan on the entire ceremony focusing on our vows to one another, maybe a few readings (poems)...so now that I have set a picture for you...should ceremony music have lyrics or be instrumental???? I am so lost, it all sounds and looks amazing in my head but Idk if it will actually appear that way lol. I would LOVE to walk down the aisle to Making memories of us byt keith Urban, the lyrics would be perfect!!! Any thoughts on that? and If I do choose that, should the other songs have lyrics as well or be instrumental??? What nontraditional songs are you using????

We're going to be using nontraditional music.....vitamin string quartet. They do instrumental versions of rock bands. I've been to weddings that have used songs with lyrics and it was great, it was a good reflection of the couple. I think you should pick music that resonates you as a couple and has meaning to you; its more special that way.

I had my grandmother and mothers walk to "Over the Rainbow" (w/ lyrics) and then the girls walked to an instrumental song (don't remember what the name of the song was) and then I walked to "Forever" by Ben Harper w/out lyrics. I wanted the lyrics but DH recommended not having them since it is easier to cut out the music to a song w/out lyrics vs. one w/ lyrics. B/c what if you got to the end of the aisle and the song was in the middle of a verse? That was our thought ~ it worked better w/out lyrics. But do what you want...either way it will be special!

I think the Keith Urban song is a great idea! It is such a beautiful song and great lyrics to represent your relationship. I don't really listen to a lot of country music, but I think it would be really special for you and your FH.
