Barn Wedding Band

Getting married in a barn, cowboy boots and all. I am having difficulty with responsiveness with some of the bands I have contacted. I would like a band that plays country and bluegrass with maybe a few contemporary covers too - any affordable recommendations?

    Hello!  It sounds like we're into the same vibe.  :-)  We just saw Old Crow Medicine Show last Friday night and hope we can have a 1/10 of the energy of that band at our reception.  It's just contagious and fun!  We're also having a barn wedding. 

    Locally, we really enjoy The Tillers, Rumpke Mountain Boys, and The Tadcasters.  But there are a lot of them around.  Some other local acts I've heard of are Magnolia Mountain (heard them a bit at the Zoo last summer and they were pretty good), The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars, and Wild Carrot. 

    Currently we think we have the The Tadcasters ... just need it formally booked.  We met with them a few weekends back at the Browngrass Festival and they were super nice.

    Ha, we were at Old Crow, too. I kept telling my fiance to just ask them to play the wedding, but for whatever reason he didn't think they'd be down for it. Weird!

    Thanks for the recommendations, I will definitely look into them!
