Hello all! I wasn't much on posting while I was planning my wedding, but I did read every vendor review out there to help me make my decision. If anyone wants additional information about any vendor, please feel free to message me!
Wedding Planner--Renee Jeffries (Schuckman)--A+++
I cannot say enough things about Renee. She was AMAZING!!! She is a wedding planner who has just brached out to form her own business and she was everything I could have asked for and more!!
Flowers--Courtenay Lambert Florals--A
Courtenay is very well-know in the cincinnati area and I was not disappointed! My flowers were everything I had asked for and they were gorgeous. I wanted a very modern approach and she took my vision and ran with it! The only down-side? She is very hard to get in touch with prior to the event (lots and lots of emails) but once the event gets there that all changes!
Cake--A Spoonfulla Sugar--A+
Word cannot express. Cake was beautiful and tasted awesome!!!
Officiant--Bill Proud--A+
If you are getting married in the Cincy/NKY area and either are not from the area or have a dual-faith marriage in which you cannot find an officiant, this is your guy. My husband is catholic and I am not and, further, we did not have a church in Cincinnati. Bill is a former priest who left the priest-hood to marry his wife
His ceremonies are very spiritual and also customizable. He made our day perfect.
DJ--Steve Bender Productions--B+
If I were writing this review solely on my DJ (whose name was RJ) I would have given an A+. RJ was wonderful and he kept my guests dancing all night! He also worked with me on a very special song that I sang to my husband. He was great! My only complain was actually with the difficulty I had getting in touch with Steve. I had to make multiple phones calls sometimes to get things scheduled and to get invoives, etc. Overall, though, a great company.
Candy Buffett--Dulce Designs (Angela Jolley)--A++
Angela is awesome!! My buffett looked awesome and tasted awesome. Her designs are so cute!!! SO EASY to work with also!! She basically did all the work for me!
Paper products (menus, invites, etc)--Kristen Becker @ Five dot design--A+
Once again, so EASY to work with. Everything I wanted was perfect, delivered on time and looked like exactly what I wanted. I cannot recommend her enough!!
Venue--Cincinnati Marriott at Rivercenter--B-
I saved this one until last. It is a very tricky review because, for the most part, I was very satisfied with the marriott. It is a gorgeous venue. The food was amazing, the wait staff was amazing, the planners were amazing. But it was 85 degrees INSIDE the faciility on the day of my wedding. I was told by the staff the "it happens every year" and that the air conditioners just couldn't keep up with the heat. My 200+ guests pretty much melted throughout the entire day. The marriott tried to put fans and external cooling units in the rooms (which were LOUD and unsightly) but they only helped a little. Further, when we complained about the heat after the event we were informed that "they spent extra money trying to cool for our event" so they really were too concerned. I would NOT recommend this venue in the summer. Possibly in the winter because, as I said, everything else was great.
