XP: JCP Registry bummer

...So I posed this on the R&G board but just wanted to give you the FIY too...FI and I went to JCP in September to start our registry. We went and were told they removed their kiosk because they're updating their system. I called again to day to see if they had been brought back and she said that they will not be getting the kiosk again and all registries will be done online from now on....CRAP!! Not everything online is available in store. Plus we want to see things in person before we decide to add it to our registry.

Now we're deciding where else to register besides Target...Kohl's, BB&B or Macy's...

Not sure if this is just my stores or if this is nationally!

Also, a question I want to keep our JCP registry because there are things on there that we want & the Kitchenaid mixer is $100 cheaper than at Kohl's or BBB...we have 12 things on there...is that okay to have 3 registries or is it excessive?? Or should we just register for those things (or similar things) at the store we end up choosing??

I agree, I'd want to see the items in person before putting them on a registry. I was in the market for a comforter for our bedroom, and one review said she got it for a bridal shower gift, but the quality was not great.

I think the 3 registries are fine, especially since there are better priced at the one particular store.

That totally stinks!! We didn't like anything at JCP so we didn't register there. I think its fine to keep it for 13 items especially the good price on the kitchenaid mixer.

Now that stinks!!! Having 3 registries are fine because your guest can bargain shop and you have a better chance at getting what you ask for rather than what someone just see on the shelf and say hmm that looks like a good gift. I have 3
