The Bridal District

Hi ladies,

Im from columbus and looking to get a maggie sottoro dress.  I have heard that i should go to the big store at the district.  I figured you guys would know best about this place.  Should i go there or is it a waste of time.  How are there prices and custumer service?

I purchased my dress at Cincinnati Bride in Reading Bridal District. I had a horrible experience with Bridal and Formal, but other brides have had better luck.

I bought a Maggie Sottero dress from Bridal and Formal along with all of my jewlery and bridesmaid dresses and had a great experience.  I would recommend going during the week and asking for Corey.  She was awesome!  I actually bought my dress during a Maggie Sottero trunk show so I got a fair amount of money off of my dress, but had to go on a Saturday.  I agree that it is a total mad house!  We waited a long time but it was totally worth it for the money off.  They have large rooms to change in so if that bothers you make sure you ask for the private rooms. 
I agree with the previous post that there are definitely good and bad reviews about Bridal and Formal.

I had a good experience at Bridal and Formal- but I was only there for about 20 minutes before I had to leave for an unrelated reason. I plan on going back. I also had a good experience at Cincinnati Bride (right across the street from Bridal and Formal). I think it really depends on when you go though. I went on a Tuesday and Friday- so they weren't as busy.

Whatever you do, go on a weekday if you can.  If you can only go on Saturday, then it's ok, just expect to be busy.

As for a sale at Bridal and Formal, they're having a huge tent sale on Saturday, September 25.  I'm going!  Just a head's up.

I really enjoyed my experience at Bridal and Formal...tons of beautiful dresses with a large price range...everything from a couple hundred dollars up to the couture dresses worth thousands. I wanted to find a dress under 1000 and there were sooo many options. I went with a Wtoo dress. Good Luck!

Sally at Cincinnati Bride was wonderful.  It was easier to shop there than Bridal and Formal since the dresses are not in bags.  We ended up buying a dress on the very first day and Sally really listened to what my daughter liked and did not like.
