Was super sick... now super behind

I just had surgery to remove my gallbladder after being super sick. (only good news I lost 25 lbs!) Now I feel like I'm super behind after taking almost 2 months off from planning.

I have some of the big stuff, church, reception site and dress. BUT I really need some advice on invitations, photographers, limos, cakes and flowers.

I'm getting married in August and really need to get my Save the Dates out by the end of the month! (I know it's pushing it!)

Thanks for all your help ladies

  • We did our save the dates through Vista Print. We designed them ourselves and got a great discount.

  • Glad you're feeling better!!

If you poke around on this board, you'll find a lot of recommendations for invitations, photographers, limos, cakes and flowers. Some board favorites I've noted are Rachel Spears (photographer) and Bridal Divas Ink (invitations). We're using Cakertainment for our cake. I've heard good things on here about Secret Garden in Florence for flowers. One of my friends used Jimmy's Limosuine and the party bus they had us in was great and the driver was very courteous.

Also, you don't *have* to do save-the-dates. If you have a lot of out-of-towners you might want to still do them, but they're pretty unnecessary. If you are still wanting to do save-the-dates, you technically have til February. I'm getting married Aug. 25th, and the goal is to have save the dates out by Feb. 25th.

    HTH!!

Since you're recovering from surgery, is there any way you can pop for a planner?  It might be worth the investment in the long run.  Blue Dahlia (new) is fairly reasonable as Michelle just started the business.  (Her reviews are awesome.)  You might want to treat yourself to this little indulgence; it'd be worth saving on your stress levels in the long run.
