Cincinnati Area Invitations---$$$$

Can anyone recommend companies in Cincinnati that have reseasonable prices for invitations? My wedding size is 250. And I'm thinking about doing the post card type of RSVP instead of the additional envelope.

Thank you for your ideas and suggestions!

Sorry to say, but if you're looking to save $, invitations is probably not the easiest way to do it. It was the thing that has shocked us the most in this crazy wedding planning process. We found that the only way to do it "cheap" was to purchase blank invites at Michaels or Target and print them ourselves. In the end, we ordered invitations I love from Tuella in West Chester, but went about $300 over budget and had to save that money somewhere else.

I made my own invitations (just under 100 total invitations). Bought paper and envelopes through paperandmore.com for about $70, designed my own and printed them at FedEx Office for around $150. But we had pocket invites with 2 inserts and a postcard style RSVP. So that increased the cost of the paper from the website.

By the way, if you do the postcard invite, the only postcard stamps available at the Post Office feature polar bears. You can order specialty designs from places like zazzle.com but you will pay A LOT more.

We had a friend design ours and had them printed at MinuteMan Press in colerain (did a flat invite card w/ envelope, postcard response, and in full color printed and cute for just under $90.  We had a guest list of 220 (so sent out approx. 120). DIY is the way to go for invites.  However, if it's just not your thing, try Land of Oz on Harrison Avenue, 481-2300.

I am ordering mine from zazzle.com. I was a little hesitant at first about ordering them before I see them but I have a friend who already got hers from there and she loved them. With the invites I chose, I am getting 100 for just under $100. The only thing that sucks is they don't include RSVP cards but I am going to make those at Stapples. If you aren't comfortable ordering them online I would go with the Michaels or Target plan. Two other websites I looked at before ordering mine were 123print.com and theamericanwedding.com.

go to land of oz in Cheviot (west side of cincinnati) they are an invitation outlet place. Except none of the invites are old. They have like 200 books ( I think like 3,000 invitiations they said) and its 30-40% off the list price. Our invites came out to only $2 each! Were having 250 too, so I ordered 100 invites. ITs appt only, so be sure to set it up before you go.

    heres mine:

prewarning though, we wanted funky invites, most of them are no where near as extreme

I would suggest Land of Oz or the DIY invites by Brides magazine that are sold at Michael's. They are very nice.  If you are not a DIY bride, then I would definitely go with the Land of Oz.

Look at Yochi Designs. They did my invitations way easier than I could have ever done them alone. They were way more cost effective than even making my own. Email me if you have any other  questions - kelklump at gmail

I ordered mine from Ann's Bridal Bargains and was very pleased.  I found the same design at Land of Oz but it was cheaper from Ann's.  Rexcraft, Invitations by Dawn, The American Wedding and Jean M. all have catalogs and will send you samples of the designs that you like.

I haven't been on here since I got married and posted vendor reviews but I had to post on this one. Blustery Day Design is amazing! Several girls recommended them to me when I was getting married and they were by far one of my favorite vendors - by far.

I worked with Jessica. I got custom designed table numbers, escort cards, rsvp postcards, and invitations for about 300.00, maybe 350.00 (I can't remember exactly). My husband and I filled out a questionairre based on our taste and they were exactly as we imagined. Even though the girls are located in NKY, all contact was done via email and when things were finished I just went to her house to pick them up (in NKY). I don't remember their email but I'm sure that if you type their name in google it will come up. I would recommend them to anyone.

It's not a Cincinnati company, but the ladies on Budget Weddings all recommend www.123print.com.

I had a friend who's a graphic designer design mine and print them at Kinko's.

I recommend them times 10! One of my absolute favorite vendors. They will work with ANY budget, and my invites turned out great considering the amount I paid for them. You can do all correspondence and designing by email if you want, which made it super easy for us. I definitely recommend you contact them and get an idea of what they can design for you

I'll throw in my support for The Land of Oz.

    Great prices.

    Great people.

Totally worth a trip just to see.

In my siggy, there's a "For Sale" link, but it's connected to my planning bio.  It sounds like you are wanting to do exactly what I did, and I have the costs listed under the "Stationery" link.

    GL!

She's not in Cincinnati - she's in Columbus, but do check out http://www.wahyupress.com/ She's been working with me on creative ways to do what I want without the huge price tag.

We are using giddy ink (www.giddyink.com) and I'm sure they will work with your budget, while making your invitations uniquely yours.

If you're really looking to save money, costco sells wedding invitations!  go to costcoweddings.com, and I'm not sure if you even have to be a member :)
