2?  I think one is tacky, I've never heard of anyone doing 2.  I can't imagine asking guests to get their wallets out once, let alone twice at a reception.

I actual did think 2 songs was weird too. When we started talking about doing them I heard so many people tell me they did 2 which is why I picked that, I just figured it was the norm.

I agree with the pp's who say no dollar dance.  I am from this area and out of all the weddings I have been to, there has been A dollar dance at only one.

I'm from the Midwest and let me give you an idea of how tacky I think they are - as soon as I hear dollar dance I think of hooker standings on a corner.   Seriously - the first thing that comes to mind is hookers - well that a strip clubs. Men pay dollars (or more) to those girls too.

I didn't even know what a "dollar dance" was so I had to Google it.  It just doesnt seem proper for a wedding.  Maybe for a casual party - like your bridal shower - but not for a wedding.  But that's just my opinon - if it's a tradition in your family or if you think it's a neat tradition to start, go for it.  It's YOUR wedding!

As for songs, what about "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy?  :

Thank you all for your input!! I had been thinking about just nixing the whole thing in general and I'm kind of glad you all agree with that. I hear of too many people that do them and my parents had mentioned doing it to me. It has to be a midwest thing or even a southern baptist thing because most of the southern baptist weddings I go to, they do it. My parents are old fashioned so maybe that's why they suggested it:) Thank you all again.
