I know I am lagging a little bit on getting this up here but I wanted to make sure I got it done because our day was flawless, most of it thanks to our vendors!
Church: Holy Family Church, Cincinnati,OH (price hill) A
We attend church here regularly and if you have ever been here our decision to have it here is very apparent. This church is absolutely beautifull! The music director was great to work with and since we used their singer and organist music selection was a breeze! The rehearsal team was absolutely amazing, they were there to help with anythign and everything we needed. We brought everything for the ceremony on the night of the rehearsal and they stored it for us until the next day!
Reception Hall: The Madison Even Center A+++++++++
I absolutely could NOT be happier with my selection for a reception hall! The girls at the Madison make planning your wedding reception seem like no work at all! Working out pricing on the packages and bar were simple to negotiate (don't hesistate to ask for anything you may want, you never know they may be able to do it!) and easy to select. We used the Grande Ballroom which is downstairs but access to the room was always available during planning if I needed it and there is an awesome staircase for the grand entrace on the big night! We dropped everything off the day before the wedding and it was all put together and placed where it needed to be for us on the day of, we had no hassle or worry about getting the hall decorated how we wanted. They contact all of your vendors for you to set up times for them to come and set up and/or drop off their stuff. On the night of they wedding we had two captains for our room and these girls were FABULOUS! They took all of our bags and coolers from the bus down to the room so we didnt have to worry about them and they were readily avialible the entire night for anythign we made need. My glass was never half empty and we were served our food so we could sit at the head table and enjoy the reception.
Photographer: Ian Pascoe Photography A+
We had a blast with Ian! His personality is exactly what we wanted in our photographer for our big day! His pictures are absolutely stunning (I don't like any pictures of myself but the ones I have seen so far are stunning!), and he was very very very easy to work with. He was extremely flexible and was willing to take whatever pictures we requested, no matter how quirky they may have been. One of our groomsmen even commented on the bus how great he was because you don't even really notice he was there, he was very non-invasive. His prices were great and he even did our engagement shots!
Videographer: Dun Dugan A+
Dan and his team were great! Debbie was with us through the entire day up until the ceremony and she was a blast! Dan and another team member filmed the entire wedding and they had three cameras set up so any angle you could want was gotten, he also stayed the ENTIRE reception with us and was filiming the whole time. He is still working on the footage but he has sent us a highlight video that is OUTSTANDING!
Florist: Petals N Glass A
A true westside charming place! Julie was so easy to work with and made the process of flowers painless for me. Our meetings were always productive and quick and she got exactly what I wanted! Her pricing was fabulous, esp for the great quality of product we received. I even saw her two days before the wedding and asked to add a couple things in and change a couple of things and she didn't even bat an eye at it, it was done with no questions or problems.
Hair/Makeup: Benzie Salon A+++
The girls at Benzie's were AMAZING! We showed up almost a 1/2 hour late the morning of because of an accident on the highway, but they still greeted us with smiles and didn't rush us one bit. We had bagels and mimosas while we were getting ready and the atmosphere was phenominal. Rachel and Laura are absolutely the best! They did mine and most of the bridal party's hair and make up and everyone looked gorgeous!
Transportation: Gallant Coach A
Randy and Gina are a great team to work with. In the beginning they could be a little difficult to get a hold of but it always worked out. When they got a new bus they called me asap to tell me and let me come look at it to make sure it was still what I wanted bc they had gotten rid of the bus I had actually signed for in beginning. The price you pay with these guys is well beyond "resonable", i mean we paid the same is not less for a HUGE, clean, comfortable bus than we would have for a standard limo somewhere else. The bus was parked outside the church after the wedding and everyone wanted to come on and see it because it was so nice. Randy was very flexible when we changed post wedding picture locations at the last minute and went right along with it.
Photo Booth: Red Eye Photo Booth A
The photo booth was a great hit! We did have to provide our own props but that was the ONLY downside! Our photo booth picture strip guest book turned out great and will definitely be a keepsake we treasure forever. The attendants were very professional and helpful and I couldn't be happier with the finish product. Even designing our own logo for the photo strips was a breeze and they looked great!
DJ: Maize Music A
Nemar is THE BEST, he made our reception absolutely Flawless! He was very easy to contact during the planning process, and even provided us with an online planning form and request form that made the planning process such a sinch. The music during dinner was PERFECT, he even took requests from guests during dinner. The dance floor was packed all night and the mix of music was wonderful. I am very very happy with our DJ selection and would/will recommend him and his company to anyone and everyone that asks us or that we know will need one coming up!
So that is my review of our day, we were truly blessed with our vendors and had an absolutley amazing day! Thanks to all of them, and if you have any questions just let me know!
