Brian Childs/DJs in general

I finally picked a date (yay!!) and am just starting to actually email vendors for our 5/14 wedding...Brian Childs is open on our date...and I have heard so many good things about him that I definitely want to meet with him

Brian Specific-
Did you use him? What made him so fantastic?

In General-
what do you talk to DJs about the first time you meet with them? I just want someone that will play good music (with some of my quirky random and 80s music thrown in) and won't talk a lot... (I hate a dj that wont shut up)- How does an interview with a potential DJ go?

THANKS!

Ask if they have backup equipment in case something happens. Do they have a wireless mic? What do they wear? Are there any fees (like set up, etc) Do they take requests...just stuff like that

I used Brian Childs and he was great- I loved his personality and he kept the dance floor moving. He was in a tux and was very professional. He went with the flow and didnt bug me at all - he just did his job. He kept our dancefloor full all night. He does have a wireless mic, which he actually let us use for the ceremony as well. He was great at our meetings and made me feel confident and helped me sort through all of my ideas. He made my wedding fun and a blast.
