I found an amazing fellow knottie bhrett who makes custom hangers and I just placed my order.  Her website is at http://bhrett-josh.weebly.com/diy.html.  You can see she made one for me recently, which isn't in its final form yet so it will be taut and much straighter when she drills it into the wood.  She makes them for $9 and ships for flat $5, and she also offers to make additional ones for your wedding party for just $5 more.  I really had to share my find!

    She is very crafty!  BTW- We did our engagement photos with Lisa over the weekend. She's working on editing them, but I really liked working with her and can't wait to see the pictures. Thanks again!

    I just ordered one from her too to say Mrs. Crawley. Thanks for the tip! Saved a bit over what Etsy has them for. I love having this detail!

    I think these will actually support more weight than the ones on Etsy. I love the look of the custom hangers on Etsy but the vendor states that they won't bear much weight. I think these wooden hangers will be able to support a wedding dress.
