weidemann hill mansion-winter wedding/reception?

Hi there!

Just wondering if anyone has experienced a wedding/reception at Weidemann Hill Mansion in winter.  I hate the idea of not being able to use the outside, but can't imagine waiting too much longer to get hitched lol

I was there for a rehearsal dinner on May.  The house is gorgeous but there policies are specific.   You have to pay to rent the place, use one of their caterers and bring in bar service (if you want alcohol).

We were going to have ours there too for our wedding in a few weeks but when my FMIL called the woman was a complete nightmare, so we decided against it.

Oh and its not that big either.

    Good Luck.

I'm having my wedding there next Sept and I love the house and the owner, Donna. I'm not sure why PP's FMIL said she was a nightmare the women is AMAZING to work with and helps more than I would ever have imagined. They have different set up designs based on weather and things like that. It is small but it's over 100 years old and the wedding limit is 60. You pay to rent the house but you get everything. centerpeices, cake stand, dishes, glasses, flatware, changing room, all non-alch. drinks, time to set up and time to take down anything. They set up all your chairs and are there all day should you need them. We already had a planning meeting with her because she wants to help and get a good feeling for the day.

You do have to use certain caterers but it's really for your protection. They only work with people who care insurance with the mansion on it so should something happen you are covered. We are using Vonderhaars who has a great repuation and fit everything we wanted.

Definitley message me if you want to know more, i love the house and the help.

I think the important thing to remember is that it's a venue but it's also their home(they live on the 3rd floor) so they want to make sure it's taken care of. Check it out honestly, I think it's worth it!
