Phtotographer Suggestions?

I'm looking for a photographer with reasonable pricing. I keep running into photogs who's prices start at $3900! My mom seems to want 2 shooters. I am not interested in the coffee table art books that seem to be in style right now. As long as I get the standard traditional pics of the bridal party and family and cake cutting etc I'll be happy. Wedding will be in Mason so either Dayton or Cinci people would work. Do you have suggestions? Thanks much!

I am using Nikita Gross. I believe she starts at $2500 with an assistant for all day coverage. She will travel. Her work is a little more artsy, but I'm sure she would be willing to do whatever you wanted her to do.

I am using Kate Foxbower photography and she has been great so far.  She was awesome about working with my budget of $1500.  I told her how much I wanted to pay and what I absolutely wanted to have and she worked it out for me.  I am also a Sunday wedding in December so I think that helped with price a little.  I recommend contacting her though.  We just had our engagment pics on Sunday and it was a lot of fun.  I have only seen two pics so far that are up on her blog but I love them.

Also, a great budget photographer that I have been referring is Photography by Lydia.  I was going to book her but she does not do Sunday weddings.

Tammy Bryan photography!  She is AMAZING! She also has several different packages to choose from.  You get 2 photographers with almost all of the packages.  Her 2nd photographer is her husband, and he is a riot, and a fantastic photographer also!

Your mom is right, you do want 2 shooters.  We had one with DH getting ready, one with me.  While the first shooter was doing traditional pics, the other was getting candids.  We also had pics from the front of the aisle and the back of the chapel without any running distractions.  You can tell the candids from the traditional if you look in my bio. Some of my favorites are from the second shooter!

im using blue martini, they are under 2k and our epics were great.

I had a friend in Louisville use Aubrey Renee photography and she was also great and very inexpensive.

Nicholas Viltrakis. Him and his wife work together and they are wonderful. He has packages that start as low as $1500 and goes up from there. You have a variety of things you can choose from and he really listens to what YOU want. If he feels you wouldn't be a good fit he will let you know and suggest someone more your style. We love him! we had our engagement session with them and it was wonderful! Best to reach him via email, he always repsonds quickly to that! Good luck.
