Videographer suggestions for nothing too expensive?!!?

I know you get what you pay for, but I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a videographer that is local, good, and doesn't cost too too much?! Like somewhere around $1,200?? Any suggestions welcomed!! TIA!!!

I am in the same boat you are.
I am looking into these 3
Jeff Cooney - He is newer, but doesn't have a lot of work to show..I intend to get a full wedding from him. (Dayton)
Hatfield Productions - He has a ton of clips and has great prices.  Both him and Jeff have prices under $1,200
True artist studio I am not sure on his prices.  I didn't really like his style on his clips page, but those could have been older.  He started out with Bambino.  I did however write him on getting a dvd.

There are some others on the vendors list.  Please let me know who you end up going with, or your thoughts on others if I have not mentioned them.

Awesome! I've heard great things about Hatfield and Jeff's, but I wasn't for sure on them! Thanks so much! I'll let you know if I hear anything else!

We're using Jeff Cooney.  We met with him about 6 months ago and really liked the relaxed personalities of him and his wife (who shoots weddings with him).  He's new to the wedding videography scene, but his work has been solid.  One of the things that we really liked was that his equipment is small and non-obtrusive -- which means that it won't bother our guests as much on the big day!

    Good luck!

We're also using Jeff Cooney! He's new, but like PP said, his work is good! And, we liked him a lot when we met with him! He's very flexible & will pretty much try anything you'd like him to! We also liked that he has 2 video cameras (one for him & one for his wife). IMO, for the quality of his work, you can't beat the price!

I am using Brett Hatfield and LOVE him.  He is fun and very helpful! His quality is top notch, but he has a variety of price points he can meet. In a few years, I guarantee he will be one of the top (and probably most expensive) vendors!

My sister used Rohrig video in a package with her photographer and it was just awesome. They have very reasonable photo/video packages, but he does the video part and they have a bridal bailout video that is around 1000 with a save the date video and his work just looks fantastic. Check out the website, or call Mark directly or find Mark Rohrig on facebook. He's great to talk to and helped me a lot with a bunch of vendor issues, and I'm not even sure I'll be able to use him because of a scheduling problem!!
