Reception lighting/fabric draping

I went to a wedding this weekend and they had white fabric (looked like tulle, but might not have been) and then they had Christmas lights above the fabric and it was sooooo pretty.  Is anyone else doing this?  Are you DIY or having a company do it?  Any details would be wonderful!

That's more than likely something you'd want to do yourself- was it on the cake table or something? Hiring someone to do something like this, they'd probably try to charge you 4x what it'd cost you to do it.

I guess it would have been more helpful if I said where the fabric was...haha...It was hanging across the ceiling above the dance floor.  That's why I don't know how easy it would be to do.

I am having this done at my venue b/c it is sooo beautiful. BUT we are having to pay a rental company to do it, and trust me when I say, its costing us an arm and a leg, lol. It was just one of those things I didnt want to go without b/c it truly makes the room.

Some rooms have that as a standard option - if its hanging from the ceiling - I would hire someone. You dont want that liability right before your wedding.

I know that Party Pleasers offers this.  They do charge a lot for this service.

I just set up an appointment with Impressive Occasions.  I haven't met with the lady yet, but she seemed nice enough.  They have a website online that you can browse the pictures on.  It is expensive though!!  We'll see how the meeting goes.
