How many will actually come???

So, if I invite 200 guests, how many do you all think will actually show?? I know there has got to be some kind of statistics on this!!!!

If you are asking for budget reasons or space requirements, you really need to assume that everyone will attend because there is no real way of knowing for sure.  With that said, we invited 228 people and 176 RSVPd yes.  Out of the people that RSVPd yes, I think we either had 9 or 11 no-shows.

You should count on 100% coming but for me we invited 235, I knew 35 of my dad's family wouldn't come. I also knew my fiance and I have a lot of out of town family. With a couple days to go on finding out we have had 126 yes, 24 no, and a lot of na's. So you can typically count on a few no's.

    Hi THoward!
We invited 297 guests (with a little less than half of those guests coming from Chicago) and we ended up with 198. I know that's rare but people really do cancel the week of-You'd be surprised! I would say to plan about 10% not coming and then cut that number by another 5 people for the actual head count. I never believed it but after talking to friends/past brides, you can usually plan on at least 10% who will RSVP "NO." Hope this helps!

You need to consider how many out-of-town guests are invited, how far they would have to travel, if you're inviting kids, etc.  Only a small percentage of my OOT guests attended, but we had very few "no's" from local guests.
