Knot Guest List?

When organizing the guests, what is the A/B list question?

A list--who you absolutely want to invite

B list--the people who you would like to invite, but could get cut off the list if you wind up with too many people for your budget/venue/whatever.

    ...I'm pretty sure. :-)

    (a) I wouldn't use the Knot's tool - it's been known to lose entire guest lists in the past.

    (b) A/B list are used when you have more people that you want to invite to your wedding than you can afford/your venue can hold.  Your A list contains the people that you REALLY can't imagine not being there, and your B list contains people you want to be there but can't because of space/cost constraints.  Once your A list RSVPs come in, you'll know how many people from your B list you can invite.

You can also use it for something else. For example, I used mine as:
    A--people I expect to come
B--people I don't expect to come (OOT family who I don't really see anymore)

YES, I am planning for the total to attend but wanted a better idea of how it would most likely look.

I learned the hard way that the knot guest list tool may not save. One day I had 264 guests and the next I had 188; so I had to go back and figure out who it deleted. :(
