Help Needed!

Hello,

I need help.  Pompilios was scheduled to cater my wedding and now they are unable to provide servers and bartenders.  I had originally picked them because they are about half the price of most of the caterers that were suggested.  I don't know what I should do.  Should I cancel with Pompilios and try to find someone else (there is no contract)?  Should I try to find servers and a bartender on my own?  Does anyone have any suggestions for servers or bar tenders?  I am worried because we are on a very strict budget and if I have to get a more expensive caterer or pay for servers I am not sure how I am going to pay for our remaining balances.  Please let me know what you think.  Thanks!

Had Pompilios originally agreed to provide servers/bartenders for the price they quoted you at? If so, maybe now that they are not providing them they will cut the cost a little for you?

If not... I don't have any suggestions on who to use... but if money is the big issue I'd just compare your options and see what you have. Price out what it would cost you to just hire bartenders/servers and add it to what you are paying Pompilios, compared to ditching Pompilios for another catering company that includes servers/bartenders. Then just go for your cheapest option!

    Good luck!

Not sure what you were paying with Pompelios, but Vonderhaars has good prices if you go with a lunch type option or even a pasta bar- which is what I'm doing. Just forgo all the additional things like china or bussing of tables and you can keep the price down.

That is terrible! Im not sure what to tell you since there is no contract! Like a pp said I would see if they would lower the price especially since if your initial quote came with servers. But if you dont have it in writting I am not sure what they would do. Try anyways!!

Maybe consider another catering company.  I know craigslist can be a great place to find people. Definately a bartender (we hired one for New Years Eve. Message me if you want his info) and he was great, but we only had about 50 people he had to serve.

    Goodluck!!!!!

Vonderhaar's was great!!  We are both very happy with the food, drinks and services they are able to provide.  I am so relieved!!
