bathroom baskets--are you doing them?

so i read in a magazine that some brides make bathroom baskets for their guests at the reception with 911 stuff in them like mouthwash, tampons, bobby pins, etc. are any of you doing this? it showed a pic of one all nicely put together with a cute quote like "take what you need and no more, and hurry to get back on the dance floor" type thing. i think this is a cute idea but idk if its worth spending the $ or time....thoughts?

Well you can go to the dollar store for most of that stuff, I think I might do one for women and one for men…I wouldn’t spend no more then $20 on each basket (most likely less). Hope that helps Laughing

I did.  The thing that got used more than anything was excedrin.  I also had deodorant, qtips, tampons, clear nail polish, tide stick, and some other things.  My baskets didn't match (I didn't know anyone who was going into both bathrooms to compare).  I got them at the thrift store for like .25/each.  It was one of those things I knew that I wouldn't want to keep.

A lot of the girls on my month board did these, and a lot of them said stuff got stolen.  Don't spend too much.  I raided the travel samples.

I definitely plan on doing them. I think they are a very nice thing to do for your guests. And you really dont have to spend alot of $$ on them. Here is what I have been doing -

Check out the website below every other day or so and sign up for the freebies that you find that you could use for the baskets. They ALWAYS have freebies for pads and tampons, and right now there's a link for a coupon for a free bottle of Excedrine. Collect your freebies over the next few months and use them in your baskets :-)

I have enough stuff now to fill my baskets and my wedding isn't until May :-)

    Good luck!

I am doing them too. I got 2 baskets at Goodwill, spray painted them in my wedding colors, and filled them with necessities I got from the dollar store or travel section at walmart. Both baskets cost me $25 total to make.
