No time for pictures!!!

My FMIL scheduled all of our salon appointments (nails, hair and makeup) months ago. Now that I am about a month away from my wedding day I am starting to figure out the schedule for the day. By the time everyone is done at the salon we only have about an hour to take pictures!! I don't want to feel rushed because I know it will show in the pictures!! FI and I are going to see each other before the wedding so a majority of the pictures will be taken before the ceremony. How much time do you think we need for pictures? How long did it take to get your hair and makeup done? I'm thinking if I can get done earlier FI and I can do our pics and the groomsmen pics while we are waiting on the bridesmaids. What would you do!?

Can you move some of the salon appointments up to earlier in the morning? You definitely don't want to be rushed with pictures - or at all that day. We are getting married in 10 days and I have scheduled 3.5 hours for our hair and makeup (5 girls + me) then 3 hours for pictures. This is way more time than needed for pics - but I want to go to several locations, so I added in extra time. I would see if the salon can either get more people to work on your girls at the same time or push up the appointments. That is about the only thing you can do unless you cancel some of them?

    Good luck!

We took a TON of pictures.  We started way early though.  Hair at 9, back to the hotel for makeup at 12, left at 2.  We went to the park, and then the limo left to get the guys and was back by 2:45.  Wedding was at 7.  I would see if you could move your appointment up, or at the least go first.  Build yourself in as much time as possible, because something will go wrong.  My mom and BMs decided to have a slow, slow lunch and were late for makeup, but we had some extra time, so it was okay (except that I got rushed through makeup because she was in a hurry, boo.)

we got pics beforehand too. the limo picked up the guys around 2pm and took them to picture location #1. it dropped them off, then came and got the girls and we got there a little before 3. we saw eachother for the first time there and then spent about two hours doing pics. we got to our ceremony site a little after 5 and wedding started at 6.

IMO it depends on how many locations you want to have pictures taken and how far away they are from one another. I've scheduled an hour and a half for pictures beforehand, but have chosen to remain in the same neighborhood. If you're worried about it, I would definitely have the groomsmen take their photos first, and I agree with the others to see if extra people can help or some times can change.

Even if you plan the day perfectly - you will be late. You definately need more than an hour for photos. It takes time to get the shots you want. We ended up running late and I missed some of the photos that I wanted. Looking back, I would have even started earlier and made people accountable for time (our groomsman took way too long to get there and get ready causing us to be about 40 minutes late leaving. I could have killed them.
