Makeup Trial Run -- Jean Folchi

Yesterday, I had my makeup trial run with Jean Folchi. She is AMAZING!!!!

I immediately hit it off with her, and I looked and felt amazing! She used airbrush and false lashes, which I had never used before. Everything looked flawless! I ran around the rest of the day doing errands, and at the end of the night, the makeup still looked Fantastic! She also took a lot of time to give me tips and recommendations for how to get my skin prepped for the day of the wedding. I cannot wait to do it all again in a month!

    That is exciting!!  I am definitely going to get in touch with her also!  I had planned on using Brideface, but guess I should shop around.

    I also used Jean and loved her.

    You actually had your trial around the same time of year that I did last year.  So I'm sure she discussed how dry your skin is.

    She recommended to use the following products:

    Aveeno - Daily Skin Scrub, 1-2X / week (name that I found was a bit different, but I think it's the same)
    Aveeno - Positively Radiant night creme/lotion (couldn't find night cream, just day cream with 30 SPF, probably okay)
    Aveda - Hydrating Masque, 1-2X / week as masque, 5-10 minutes then rise; 3-4X / week thin layer over moisturizer at night
    Aveda - Lip Saver Balm (all the time).

    I used all but didn't really like the hydrating masque.  It irritated my skin.  But I've been using the rest of the products ever since and LOVE them.

    Yes, MattsPenguin! Those are exactly the products that she recommended. I LOVE the Hydrating Masque from Aveda, and the Lipsaver! They are fantastic, I also bought the Hand Relief Cream from Aveda-- it is lovely, too!

    My skin does get dry in the winter/early spring-- so I was glad to get some good advice on that. My skin was a bit dry (even though I moisturize daily). I've now taken to moisturizing morning and night and using Clinique's All About Eyes Cream. That is a fantastic product, as well! In just a couple of days I have noticed that my eyes are brighter, and have less fine lines.
