    TGIF!

FI and I are going with some friends to a Pet Expo tomorrow.  We go every year and love seeing all the puppies and kitties while supporting some local shelters.

WR - Hopefully making some more programs.  I just had my first fitting last night so it is all becoming so real for me.  I have to stop putting things off.

This weekend, I hope to fill out the vidoegrapher contract, and have FI bring it over to them with the check this week. I also am going to return my earrings I bought at Target, I decided they were too small and I found some on etsy that I looove. I also saw a rehearsal dinner dress possibility in an Old Navy ad, so I am hoping to check that out today too.
Tomorrow, I leave for Alabama on a work mission trip. Its Spring Break for me (my last one!!) and Im part of a team headed down to rebuild some houses after the tornadoes went through last year. We wont have a lot of wifi down there, and prolly not much time- so I'll see you all next sunday when I get back!!!

I just hope to god that we'll get our files sent to the underwriting today or sometime soon :( They're having problems getting information of FI's employment and it's worrying me. He had a gap of not working for a few months 2 years ago and I just hope it doesn't affect our ability to get a loan. Positive thoughts, please???

Probably should start putting the invitations together this weekend? Hmmm!! Also waiting to hear from our officiant so we can start planning our ceremony. I want it done so I can make ceremony programs!!

We DESPERATELY need to finish our invites and send those few OOT ones we didn't get the chance to send to! I need to get on the ball with wedding planning, there's so much to do! Wahh! This is where I wish I had a planner to take care of it for me.

We have Pre Cana tomorrow morning! We've already completed the questionnaire and discussed it between ourselves, but it should be interesting actually meeting with the counselor for a few hours. Thankfully it's a one day thing.

Other than that, I need to order fiance's wedding band. He just wants a plain platinum 4mm one, so it shouldn't be too hard to find that.

Last round of invitations is in! Trying to decide whether there are any changes I want to make. Probably will just go with this, though, because I'm sick of putting it off. I want to be sure we get them in by early April so that I can begin addressing them.

Penny - OMG I am so jealous you are going to see animals! Have a great time.

I had a really good week even though I was crazy busy!

Last night was my MOH's first fitting for her wedding gown and she looked so beautiful and I'm just so happy for her.  I also got to see my wedding gown for the first time and am EXTREMELY happy with how the custom neckline came out (THANK YOU, CASABLANCA).

WR: My MOH's first bridal shower is tomorrow and she has no idea!  Almost everything on both of her registries has been purchased... so jealous!  For my wedding, FI and I started checking out tuxes... I think that is next on our list.

NWR: St. Patrick's Day festivities start this weekend!!  Also, we also have to start shopping for mortgages since we've decided to purchase a house!  EEK.  Let the house hunting begin!

Its going to be a busy weekend.

NWR: I have to go to a wake after work. One of my BMs grandmother died. FI is taking me out for a "date night" tonight. He's been doing this a lot lately. I think he feels guilty for spending so much time working on his comedy stuff and hanging out with his one friend who is in a crappy situation right now (his house got condemed and he's living in a motel room with his parents)

WR: The store I want to get my ring at is having a sale today. So i'm going to pick out my wedding band after the wake! I'm hoping the sale will be big enough to allow me to afford the larger stones. Then tomorrow we are going to pick out tuxes.

yay, so glad it is friday!!!

tonight and tomorrow are sectional basketball games  - my dad is a high school bball coach, and i love bball, so it is always fun to go to state tourney games.

fiance and I are also going to a yoga workshop tomorrow with a senior teacher from NYC - should be fun!

my mom and i are going to look at dresses for her tomorrow.  my mom is actually my matron of honor and serving as mother of the bride (obviously) so we want her in something extra special.  she isn't matching my bridesmaids, so i just want her in a complementary shade of grey or silver.  she is actually really slim,  but thinks she looks bad in everything she tries on :( hopefully we have more look on Saturday than we did last week!  we are planning to check out Macy's and Von Maur to start.

then on Sunday we are going out for a fancy dinner to celebrate our 7 year anniversary of dating. we decided since this was the last time we would ever celebrate our anniversary of "dating", we wanted to do something special :)

I had the same problem with my mother. We went to MORE THAN 15 different stores and she would try on dresses and look fantastic and she would be like "Ugh, I don't like it." It took 6 months to find her dress. I wish I were joking.

Have so much fun on Sunday! That's so sweet. :)

Also, which yoga instructor are you doing a workshop with? I'm wondering if I'm familiar!

it's so frustrating, right?!? My mom tried on this incredible silver sheath dress with a ruffled jacket and said 'ugh, i look fat." she totally didn't! the one dress that she actually liked was horrible and drapey and flowey and hid all the good parts of her body. What dress did your mom end up choosing??? My mom isn't going to have the luxury of being able to take 6 months to choose her dress, haha!

Frank Mauro from Om Yoga Center is the teacher who is coming! The owner of my studio and one of our other senior teachers studied with him so he comes every year to do a workshop and I wasn't able to go last year. I have heard he is great!

Butterfly, HAHAHA. Totally the same thing.

My mom ended up getting a custom dress from a store in PA. Basically, it's a cap sleeve dress with pearl beading all over the top, with an empire waist that just falls straight from there. I don't have a picture of it, but she was ok with it because it was relatively modest but still being elegant and not frumpy and it "made [her] look tall" (whatever that means!). It's personally not my style, but I was fine with it because she actually LIKED a dress for once.

Have so much fun at the workshop!

We spent the morning bug bombing and giving all the critters flea baths.  I stopped feeding them Muensters for a bit after we moved because we couldn't find it here and  we ended up with fleas that wouldn't go away no matter how much diatomaceous earth we used.  It was crazy windy and the pups were shivering even though it was sunny and 75.  The kids tossed the football, dug up wild onions and shot at stuff (accidentally shot the wire for the in ground fence that we haven't put in the ground yet so FI had to fix that, too) FI did some mowing and weed eating and we washed the car.  It was pretty good timing for waiting out the 2 hours for the bug bombs to do their thing and we enticed the kids to get up early with donuts. :)

No real plans this weekend.  FI has a meeting with a church client (he's a commercial real estate broker, but only does tenant representation) this afternoon and tonigh is stay-up-as-late-as-you-want-night and the only night the kids are allowed sodas.  We usually go to bed by 11 or so, but I've gotten up on Saturdays to make coffee around 7 and found kids still up.  I don't know how they do that!

Now that we got a new battery for the John Deere, FI will do more mowing on the front 4 acres (if the kids don't beat him to it, they love that thing!) and I'm going to clean the carpets and catch up on laundry.  Nothing too exciting.

This weekend will be really busy for me unfortunately.

NWR - I have to work today until 3 or 4 and then finish up FI's birthday gift.  Then tonight I'm going up to see a bunch of my friends in NH.  Tomorrow morning we are going to look at a house in another town about 20 minutes north of where we are now.  Then tomorrow night we are going out for FI's birthday with his parents.  My parents are coming to look at the house as well with us so we will probably go with them for brunch.  Then I still have to do homework on top of all of this.

WR - I would really like to do some of my programs, maybe tonight before I go out I can get working on them.

    Anniversary
