ND Officiant Help in Cincinnati

Hi ladies!

My FI and I are getting married on 10/20 at Ault Park. Since the ceremony will be there as well, we need to find an officiant. Does anyone have any suggestions for a non-denominational ceremony? We are doing some research, but no one is jumping out at us as "pick me"!  I've witnessed some really cheeseball ceremonies in the past, and would like something that is joyful, but not corny.

FWIW, my FI is Catholic and I'm Episcopalian. We plan on having a Catholic blessing after the marriage (if that is feasible).  Thanks in advance!

Have you met with any of them or are you going by their websites?  We're using Kathryn Seifert at Brides of Cincinnati. She's just been named Best of Weddings 2012 by The Knot  (her reviews are on WeddingChannel.com). She will put together whatever type ceremony you want and is very easy to work wiith.  We love her sense of humor; my FI still talks about a wedding story she told us.
  • Martin Berry is the officiant in Campbell County but also has his minister's license in Ohio so he can marry on either side of the river.  He is very nice and funny.  If I find his contact info I will post it but you should be able to find him through the Campbell County website.

  • His name is Steve Means.  He is very kind, open to your requests, and outgoing.  I can give you his number if you are interested.  We are having a "nondenominational" ceremony at a Presbyterian church.  The Pastor of the church is not going to be in town so we asked him to officiate.  It is welcomed at this church to do so.
