Flower wars with the MIL

We are  having a vintage and romantic look for our wedding.  I would like for myself a mix of roses and cala lilies. For my bridesmaids, I would like botquets of babys breath. I found a beautiful picture with just babys breath bouqets and it is sooooo romantic. I found the silver holders I would like them in too.
 
Wellllllll, my mother in law thinks that babys breath looks cheap and isnt a "bouqet" and is kind of having a fit about it. Her daughters ( my future sisters) are in the wedding and all three of them (MIL included) are trying to push me all over the place and the flowers issue is kind of pushing me to the edge!!

So am I crazy? I take ther advice and appreciate it, but sometimes the things they say sound mean spirited.

When I was in the midst of wedding planning, and I would get unsolicited advice from others like this, I would simply start leaving them out on the details. Continue to plan the wedding that you are happy and comfortable with, but just dont involve others so much with your plans or details.

The only exception would be if your MIL is paying. In that case, she will probably have more of a vested interest in what you are doing and give you more of an opinion on how to do things.

I could sit here and tell you that maybe you want to take a few suggestions from them, maybe see what other flower you could throw in with the babys breath, etc...

But when it comes down to it, as long as you're paying 100% of the flower bill, it is YOUR decision. If they continue to give you crap about the flowers, you just don't discuss that with them ANYMORE.

I just ordered everything yesterday and we are doing babys breath! She may not like it, but I talked to my other bridesmaids and they loved it. I told her yesterday and she wasnt happy. Yikes! We only have 50 days left and I pray she doesnt stress me out anymore.
