two weeks to go and photographer canceled!

Hello,

I'm not at all a regular poster by any means but I'm in a bit of a bind.  Our photographer canceled on us yesterday!  She said she has passed our information along to some of her photographer friends and she'll let us know if any of them are interested.  I've contacted a couple people I know from high school days and one person I found online that had the closest package to what we want.  I am still looking for recommendations in the Dayton area.  We have a small budget ($500) and would basically just like a disc of all edited pictures with a release to print as we want.  We really only want someone for the ceremony and reception up to the cake cutting, which is 4 hours.  TIA!

In the Dayton area, perhaps try Nixon Photography?  Off the top of my head, I don't know their prices but I know they're located South of town.  I've also heard good things about Lucky Clover and Locke Innovations - maybe they're available?  I hope the people I've referenced aren't the one of the ones that cancelled on you!  Try explaining your situation and a lot of companies will also be more sympathetic and try to work with you on pricing.

Thanks for the recommendations!  I'm going to look up Nixon Photography now.  I haven't seen the photographer we originally had ever mentioned on here.  We did an engagement session with her in August and were very pleased and decided to use her for our wedding.

Sorry for the delay in the update!  We decided to go with Chabree' Grove Photography out of Troy, OH.  I know Chabree' from school days and have followed her Facebook photography page since she got started a couple of years ago and have been really impressed with how she has improved!  She has done some weddings but doesn't have any posted on FB.  She was able to work up a custom package for our price range.
