Vendor Reviews 12/10

Sorry its taken so long, but here they are!  Also, I had a GREAT experience with each vendor so I won't be leaving grades.

The Madison

Once engaged I knew we would go here. I have had so many friends have their ceremony and reception here, but we just went with the ceremony as our church has been our church since we were kids. I have to say the staff here is helpful and friendly. There were a few other weddings going on, but we always had the feeling that we were the most important wedding.  As the staff was always on the lookout for anything that may go wrong. Both of our families are big party families, so if you need a place to really get down, I would give them a go.

Motortoys Limousine Service

Our driver (Jeff) was fun and very down to earth. The inside was very spacious and comfortable, I hear of horror stories of limos or party busses arriving late, or the driver getting lost. I would recommend them over the leading limousine companies in a heartbeat.  We paid a competitive price to the others.  I called around a bit giving other companies bids and see who would go the lowest.

Fabulous Bridal

We got some information from them at a bridal show a while back. We felt they cared more about us opposed to some of the other bigger bridal stores….in the bridal district. I got a lot of compliments regarding my dress.  I do have to let everyone know that I didn’t care THAT MUCH about my dress.  I wanted to say our vows and party down.  I didn’t really look too deep in the bridal district.

Two Little Buds (flowers)

I was originally going to go with the fake flower theme, as real ones die shorty, but my mom said we had to get real ones. We did some browsing online and in and out of shops. We settled on Two Little Buds - and fell in love with Alice and Mindy. They both were very sweet and sincere. We really like it when we feel our business is appreciated. I cannot stress enough the importance of having a local/real business backing you.

Photography: I used two of my work friends do the photography.  I didn’t want to spend 2k on pictures that I think someone with a certain measure of experience and desire could do.  They turned out wonderful and I highly recommend having a photographer (if it’s in your budget) to stay all day.  We had them from the start of our day until the end.  I was never thrilled with the 6 hour or 4 hour package deals.  I am sure we could have looked harder, but they said the moment I was engaged they would be our photographers..so we ran with it.

Videography: We used Hatfield Productions.  We got the sincere feeling from brett and lauren, they weren’t real pushy with their business which is what mom liked a lot.  They even gave us other videographers and said to shop around.  Our blurays looked great,  Lauren was real helpful throughout the day regarding small issues with the bridesmaids. I know a lot of girls say they regret not having someone tape their wedding, so this is something I wanted.

There it is.  Thanks girls for all your help.
