Cocktail hour wording help for invitations

We are only offering beer and wine (no mixed drinks) during our cocktail hour and reception. My Dad doesn't want to write the word cocktail hour on our reception cards because he thinks people will be confused. Has anyone just done beer and wine and if so, how did you write your reception card? Thanks for the help!

You don't need to clarify what kind of beverages are included. Since cocktail hour is what starts your reception just include a reception card letting your guests know the location of the celebration. If it is at the same location just put at the bottom of your invitation "reception to immediately follow". I don't think I've ever received an invitation that expressly said that there would be a cocktail hour, so don't worry about it. Your guests will be happy with whatever you are able to provide for them.

I don't think you need to put that on the reception card...For the most part, its assumed... I would maybe just add dinner, drinks, and dancing to follow.
