A venue for both ceremony and reception

Does anyone know of a place where I can do an outdoor ceremony in Nov and a reception site all in one location for under 3000

Re: A venue for both ceremony and reception

  • Hamilton county parks has the "wedding Setting" outside and it is 395.00. The you can go to one of their banquet facilities for the reception. The price of the reception is based on your need, but the major bonus is that becasue they are Hamilton County Parks and a nonprofit government organization, there are no gratuities and fees. Most places charge a 18-22% gratuties and fees charge. I am using the wedding setting for my own wedding.

    Only for Saturday nights.

We're having out reception there on a Saturday afternoon and our minimum was 2,500.

The minimum for a Friday night is 3,500 - but Shannon was willing to lower it to 2,500 since I asked real nice - but instead we went with Saturday afternoon.

  • thanxs for your help i am in the process of using norlyn manor for both but i really wanted a outdoor ceremony but thats ok if i can save money by doing it inside theres not many places that dont charge a gratuity of 18% wish i could do with out my engagment pics will be outside so no worries its a little pricey but it will be beautiful
  • my friend got married last October - (2011) in this brand new facility. it isn't outdoors, but overlooks downtown Cincinnati -fountain square. large enough to do both wedding and reception and they don't charge 18% or any other fees. bring your own caterer and vendors - I guess because they are so new. they took outdoor pictures on fountain square and just walked over to the venue. very pretty. the rental fee was around $2000 for the space. seemed like a deal...

  • Krippendorf Lodge is so pretty. The setting would be just beautiful in November. Another place that came to mind was Manor House, for an afternoon wedding.
  • We looked at Lake Lyndsay  kirdendoh and manor house and thought it was very beautiful but its way out of the way we will be having alot of out of towners so something either downtown or on the east side of 275 this week we will be going to the anderson center on five mile and the center downtown but thanks for the suggestions ladies greatly appreciated
