Invitations are Mailed!

Invitations were mailed on Saturday - and I just got my first RSVP through TheKnot website!  I have to admit I was a bit excited:)  Unfortunately, I have heard mixed feelings about the online system....but I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out ok!

I guess I did not even know people could RSVP through the Knot.  So you are doing that in addition to reply cards, or instead of them?

I mailed out regular invitations, but instead of including a Reply Card to be mailed back to me I directed people to RSVP online at our website or call my phone number.  That way it would direct people to our website providing more details about the wedding, registry, things to do in Cinci, etc.  It also saved me the cost of postage for self-addressed, stamped RSVP envelopes:)

I have heard mixed feelings about the functionality of this service on The Knots website, but there are other sites you can do the same thing.  I had just already spent too much time building my site on the The Knot so went ahead with it.

Good luck with your invites afloggie!  I did the print yourself kind from Michaels and there was some construction with ribbon, etc. that needed to be done.  It was a bit time consuming, but well worth the inexpensive price!

Yay!! I also mailed our invitations out on Saturday! Of course, I had planned to make it to the post office to have them hand cancelled, but showed up just as they were closing down the gate!

Luckily, they have a postage machine where you can print your own metered stamps, so I used those instead of a traditional stamp!

No RSVPs yet, but lots of people have let me know they've recieved them...now if I can just get them to end back that little piece of paper...or, visit our website!
