DIY Michaels Ceremony Invitations

I bought the 'print them yourself' wedding invites from Michael's - and am getting ready to finalize the wording and print in the next few weeks.  I have heard of some actually taking them to a Kinkos or something to print instead....

Any other brides that have used these invitations?  How easy was it to print them yourself or did you end up having someone else do them?  Your thoughts are appreciated!

We printed our invites ourselves. It was easy. My brother has a really nice printer so we bought some ink for it off ebay and used it. They turned out great. We spent about $7 on ink and printed all our invites and cards to go along with them. Much less expensive than going to kinkos, etc.

They look super nice --- I would suggest that no matter where you take it you cut out on paper -- preferably cardstock some "samples" that are the identical size as your invites -- that way you can test the look & the way the text is lining up before you use one of your real invites.  . .

I learned this the hard way with some other paper products I worked with for my cousin's wedding.

Oh yeah...good advice. Our invites came with 2 samples per pack of 25 so we had tons to use for practice and we definitely needed them.

Great idea Prada!  I downloaded the templates the other night and put in the information - printing it out on regular paper....but I do need to cut some samples to the right size to get a good gauge.

I believe I also have a few extras in each of my boxes - so hopefully enough for me to live and learn with before printing all of them out!
