registry ideas????

So far we have registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and we are requesting Lowe's Gift Cards. We are outdoorsy people and thought about D*** (apparently it won't let me spell the word!) Sporting Goods or Bass Pro Shop but niether have registries. I feel like Macy's, Target, etc. all will have about the same thing as BBB.
I did Google "wedding registry for men" and found a website called "themanregistry" which was pretty cool but not sure my fi will be into that.
Any suggestions?????

What about Sears?  It's more home-centric than a lot of the other department stores.  They have pretty extensive outdoors-y and tool departments.  I know a couple that registered there and BBB - you could totally tell that the bride picked everything out at BBB and the groom picked out everything on the Sears registry!

My fiance really wanted to use a site like amazon.com for our registry- however, I know most of our guests won't buy that way, so i wanted to make it easy. I have to say, we are over 90 days out, haven't had a shower yet (or even sent out invitations) and we are already getting tons of stuff off our Macy's registry!

We are also registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, and have only had one item purchased off that one.

We had started one at Target, but deleted it b/c things were always low on stock or seasonal- and they said those items might not be available closer to the wedding....

Also, to avoid duplicates and confusion, we only did certain items at certain stores- like all our cheaper kitchen utensils/ gadgets were through BBB, and we were able to register for a cheap outdoor furniture set. Our china, towels and cutlery were all from Macy's. The Target registry we ended up deleting had lots of the miscellaneous stuff the other stores didn't carry- like a cooler, and camping equipment and storage stuff...

I would LOVE to register at Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel, but it's been my past experience that our families don't really shop there, and I could only find a handful of items I wanted to register for (I'm not registering for furniture)- so it seemed kind of pointless...

Most knotties don't have good reviews on Target.  They will only allow you to return things without a receipt once or twice a year with a driver's license, whether it was something on the registry or something during an earlier shopping excursion.  They also tend to go out of stock or season too quickly so you never get your stuff.

<div>It's true that Target has higher turnover, but when I registered there, the girl told us which sections to avoid because they were seasonal items that would be gone before our wedding rolled around. Also, the return issue is not true, at least in my experience. If something was purchased from your registry and you don't have the receipt, they can scan the registry for the return (I did this for one item). But it also seems pretty rare that people don't give you a gift receipt especially since Target automatically prints a gift receipt at the end of your regular receipt (and will print more than one at your request).</div>

We registered at BBB and Sears. My FI definitely wanted Sears for the "guy" stuff. We registered for tools, a Wii, Tv, rolling cooler, grill, etc. He had a ton of fun their and they have a great outdoor section.

We registered at Home Depot. Their registry is a little clunky and takes a bit more effort than those stores that are used to doing wedding registries, like BBB (where we are also registered), but for us it is great -- FI loves doing hands-on projects.  A lot of the guys coming to our wedding have mentioned that they are much more comfortable going to Home Depot and buying tools than taking a step inside BBB or another home goods store!
