McFadden DJ?

Hi!

Has anyone used or heard good/bad things about McFadden DJ?  They have a good Friday night package which fits into our budget and Mark seemed very personable on the phone.  We have a meeting in January to talk specifics, but I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback.

I haven't used them but I have had friends say they've been to weddings where they were good.  We chose not to use him because I thought he was a little underhanded.  I asked for a quote, he came in about $200 over a competitor, I asked if there was wiggle room and when he found out who the competition was, he told me what that guy's buttom rate was.  I think that's kind of dirty to do - "I know you're not going to pick me, so let me screw my competition over too!"

We're going with DJ Butlers Music by Request, and using Brian Benton.  Well priced for a Friday and he seems to have a GREAT personality/music selection!  They have been getting good reviews on here.   I've also seen a lot of complements on Aaron at the same company.

We are using Jesse from McFadden.  Mark himself costs about $200 more.  When we met with Jesse he seemed SO down to earth and cool.  You will be very happy with them.

We are using them for lighting but not the DJ. We have a friend doing that. The lighting was kind of an afterthought, and we've arranged it only in the past few weeks for our Dec. 18 wedding. Mark seems easy to work with and the lighting was reasonably priced. I can let you know more after Saturday! ;-)

We are using Mark and my cousin used him this past June. He does a great job at mixing the music to fit the different ages in the crowd. He also is great on the mic for announcing the bridal party, etc. We are deifintely looking forward to using him and have heard great things about him.

Update- the lighting was a great touch, and I'm glad we decided to add it at the last minute.  :-)
