Help me Choose my Caterer!

I am planning on doing my reception for about 175 people at the Glendale Lyceum. They allow you to use any caterer you want, and I think the sheer amount of choices is overwhelming me now! The caterers that I have identified as inmy price range and with the menus I would want are Bensons, Vonderhaars, Be Creative, and Funky's.

If you used any of these caterers fr your wedding I would love to hear what you thought! I think I might want to do stations, so especially let me know how those turned out if you used them!

My friend is using Funkys. I tried to contact them for my RD but it took them weeks to get back to me, however, she has had a great experience with them

To add another to your choices, try A Catered Affair.  They are so good about prices, tastings, and communication.  Huge menu selection.  And I am doing stations with them.

Don't go to Vonderhars.  We went to a tasting.  It was not good!

Whoever you choose, look up on the bbb.org If I would have done this I might have actually had edible food at the reception.

Creations by Melody is FABULOUS. I worked a wedding there with Wedding Consultant and they were the Caterer. They are familiar with the venue ... which is a wonderful location and you will just be so glad that you chose them. They are so interested in you as a client and will just treat all your guests with such respect. One of the best caterer's around in my book.

Good point about the BBB.  Always a good idea when spending any significant amount of money on anything.

I've been to a few weddings that used Funky's and the food was great!

I'm getting married at the Glendale Lyceum too! Mine is coming up soon - on September 25th - so I have most of the details nailed down. We're going with Funky's. Anyone who I've ever talked to who has used them or tried their food has raved about how amazing they are. Our tasting was fantastic as well and I found them to be really reasonably priced.

Another plus that I've found with Funky's is that they step up and coordinate your reception for you if you don't have a wedding planner. They helped us to nail down the timing and even gave us some suggestions that we hadn't thought of.

Glad to hear you also chose the Lyceum CtMiller! You'll have to let me know how everything goes with the venue and Funkys!

I think I will go with Funky's, I have had their food before and I thought it was suoer delicious, and their service is also great. I love the "mini bar" option they have with the mini hamburgers, mini BLT's, and MINI CHEESE CONEYS! I think that would be so cute for my hors devours.
