Hi!  For your black envelopes did you have your calligrapher write all the return addresses on them?  I am nothaving a calligrapher we are doing it ourselves, so I was wondering if that was the only way to get the return address on them.

Thanks!

if you want to hand-address dark colored envelopes -  you just need a paint pen in a lighter color - white, metallic, etc

You could also print and stick labels

or, if you do a little investigating, using a stamp. You will need an opaque ink pad, that may be hard to find. You can have a stamp made from original art or buy a text stamp at an office suppy store - you just click in the letters you need to make your address.

I'm not like an expert on wedding invitations or anything, but a graphic designer. so, this problem has come up before…

You could also use wraparound labels.

We actually purchased an embosser to put our return address on everything (used it for the STDs, the RSVPs, the thank you's, the invitations, etc.

I didn't put our last name on it, just our address, so we could use it for all the pre-wedding stuff.
