Ring Appraisel

I recently upgraded my ring and I need to get it appraised.  The place we bought my ring wants to charge over $200 for the appraisel and they wanted to send it out.  Anyone know where I can get it appraised for a reasonable amount of money and they WONT send my ring out?? Thank-you.

    You could check into other stores and give them calls. I feel like higher end stores won't send rings out and should be able to do them in store.

    I had my grandmother's diamond bracelet, which I inherited, appraised for insurance purposes and William Effler Jewelers only charged me $45 for the appraisal - but that was about 4 years ago.

    They sold it to you and won't even give you a break on that appraisal? I've never heard of that before. We go to Robin James Jewelers on Glenway to purchase/repair/appraise/etc. all of our jewelry. They're the absolute best. My family won't go to anyone else, and we live on the east side about 30 minutes away from there.
