small wedding venue

My fiance is in the military and in trying to save money, I am looking for a venue for a 50 person wedding, whether it's a big home or some where less conventional than the usual wedding venue's you find around here. ANY IDEAS are helpful!!

My fiance and I are having our wedding at Fort Douglas. They are very reasonable and have three different venues on site depending on your budget and how many people are attending. They have The Officer's Club which holds I believe 200 people for $1500, the Commander's House (this is where I'm having my reception) for $1,000 (you can have a reception for up to 88 people here) and then there is the Pierre Lasonde House which I believe will hold 50 people and its only $500! The best part is you get the whole house for the entire day and they are all historic buildings that have been restored. My fiance also comes from a military family so this was the perfect choice for us! We are having our actual ceremony down in their "Chapel Glen" and there isn't a charge for using that. I can't say enough good things about this venue!

We're doing ours at Hill AFB. It was very VERY reasonable in price and I know they also have different size rooms depending on what you want. We're having a large wedding so I don't know how much the smaller size run but if it's close it's worth a shot!

Hey, i was originally going to have our wedding/reception at the Chase Mill in liberty park. it was 800 for the day, they have a bunch of chairs and tables that you can use for free which is nice. it was one of the cheaper ones i could find. someone also sent me a link for noahs down in south jordan that had a lot of rooms you can rent out for cheaper than your avg venue. hope that helps. also, thanks for letting me know that my link for my dress that im selling wasnt working (and im not sure why the one i copy from the website wont work) The dress style is T9395 - you can search for it on davidsbridal.com hope that helps!

Fort Douglas is perfect for a military wedding and the price is awesome.
