Feeling stuck - Caribbean all inclusive advice?

I feel like I've scoured the Internet looking for what my fiance and I are wanting for our honeymoon... Not finding it, so I'm begging for your advice! Our wishlist: - all inclusive - preferably adults only, but not a deal breaker - beach and clear water - under $3000-3500 Our honeymoon will be aug 13-20 (or there abouts). I've already been to Jamaica, grand cayman, and would prefer to go somewhere new. My fiance has requested it not be costa rica. Any thoughts/recommendations? Thanks for the help :)

Are you flying out of Indy?

ETA:  Do you want Caribbean? Or would you be willing to do Caribbean side Mexico - like Riveria Maya, etc?  You can get a good bang for your buck there.
  • Via Applevacations.com; 8/13 through 8/19, flying out of Indy, I found the following Adults-only AIs:

-Dreams Tulum: $1264/pp (we had accquantinces HM here in Sept and loved it)
-Valentin Imperial Maya: $1,273/pp (often rec'd on this board)
-Secrets Capri: $1,424/pp (we had friends HM here in June after seeing our Secrets Maroma pics; they thought it was awesome and it looks really similar; this in is Playa Del Carmen)
-Secrets Maroma: $1,726/pp (we HMed here and loved it; can't say enough good things)
  • I second Dreams or Secrets. We stayed at Secrets and loved it!!! Maybe try Mexico!

  • I second Riviera Maya.  We are going to Secrets Maroma Beach and got a great deal including airfare through our travel agent.  We had the same budget and basic requirements as you.

  • Thanks for all the suggestions! Funny enough, I had two coworkers recommend maroma beach secrets today too, so I checked it out and love the way it looks... Any reviews on anything in Belize?

  • I've been to the Riviera Maya a few times, including for our HM, and loved it! Same blue water and tropical feel, and like pp said, you get a lot out of your money in Mexico. We stayed at the Valentin Imperial Maya--AI, adults only, and gorgeous! The food was wonderful and they have dancing and activities for the energetic set and as much quiet time by the beach and pool as the quiet set could want.

  • I would definitely recommend RIviera Maya, great bang for your buck but same gorgeous tropical feel as the caribbean!
  • I am with the other ladies. Mexico is so amazing and you can get such a great honeymoon for so inexpensive. There is so many things to do too!

  • We cruised to Belize and while their was awesome snorkeling, there wasn't much else to do it seemed. I would vote Mexico all the way! We love it there.

I loved Riveria Maya & belize all though I went from a cruiseship. I did get a sunburn in Belize from snorezling. I heard belize was a little more pricey to stay- if you want very relaxed I'd say Belize but Riveria Maya had a little more to do and would probably be cheaper. I liked the town shops and little vendors and have these awesome handpainted tiles from there.
