My FI pays his CS and we can still afford a HM. I don't even believe that my future stepson will see any of the CS money but we still pay it because it his responsibility to provide for his son. I am really good at saving and he is getting all of the extra hours he can to help me save for the HM.

i'm pretty certain that there are many people who have babies before they get married and still have a nice wedding and honeymoon. it's not ridiculous or out of the question that the op &fi want to do the same.

as some pps have said only the op and her fi know what the real deal is with the situation. so i agree with some of the other pp - pay up the child support as soon as you can. BUT in regards to your hm cancel the cancun trip, and book something else either in puerto rico where you don't need the passport or maybe florida, california, yada yada.

you could always save going to cancun on an anniversary trip, say next year, after he's had time to get caught up and been able to get a passport.
