Moulin Rouge?

Hi Ladies, DH and I are going to Paris for our 2-year anniversary and have reservations to see a show at Moulin Rouge.  Their website says "elegant attire" required, but not jacket/tie.  For those of you that have been, what would be appropriate for me and DH to wear?  Would a sundress type thing be okay for me, or more like a cocktail dress?  And DH?  Will he feel out of place if he's not wearing at least a sportscoat or is a button down (with or without tie) okay?  TIA!

Re: Moulin Rouge?

  • I actually went with my mom about 4 years ago.  We definately did not wear cocktail attire.  I may have worn a dress, but my mom probably wore dress slacks.  Unfortinately, I do not remember what the men were wearing, but I do not think they were all wearing coats.  Sorry, i can't be of more help,
  • I went last fall and I wore black slacks with a dressy top, so a sundress is perfect for you to wear.  The boys all wore button ups with slacks.  Your hubby won't feel out of place not wearing a sportscoat or tie...There were people really dressed up, then there were people just dressed "nice"Have fun!

  • i would say a cocktail dress is mose appropriate for you or a cute dressy shirt with pants or skirt and for the guy a nice button down shirt and pants with or without a jacket.
