Royal Caribbean v. Princess Mediterranean Cruise

Hi!Has anyone travelled RC or Princess through the Mediterranean recently. Both visit similiar ports (although one goes to Egypt for 2 days and the other Monte Carlo and Barcelona) of call and are 12 days long. The prices are comparable. FI and I are trying to determine which is the better option. Thoughts/opinions are appreciated!

    We took a 12 day Med cruise on Princess for our HM and absolutely loved it! The biggest reason we chose Princess was for the anytime dining option, as we didn't like the idea of being tied to a particular dinner time every day. I believe RCCL is now offering this option as well. I had also sailed on Princess before, so got reduced pricing which was nice. I don't know of any huge differences between the 2, so I think you should choose based on which itinerary you like best. I'd also recommend www.cruisecritic.com to get reviews and suggestions from travellers. We used it to help decide on excursions and coordinate with other folks on our cruise and it was great.

    We did the 12-day Med cruise on Princess and absolutely loved it.  The ship was brand new, staff and service was wonderful and the food was yum!

    i would probably choose the 2 day Egypt rather than the Barc/Monte on. jmo.
